Investment
Every project is different, so your investment should be too.
You should understand exactly where your money goes — and know we're only ever recommending what genuinely helps.
Rather than forcing every business into the same package, we build around what you actually need. We actively try to keep costs down: if there's a cheaper option that achieves the same result, we'll tell you. Here's exactly how we think about investment, what shapes it, and what you can expect at every stage.
Why don't you publish fixed prices?
Because a price list can only ever be honest about the average business — not yours.
A fixed price list works by averaging: it either overcharges the simpler projects to cover the complex ones, or underdelivers on the complex ones to hit an advertised number. Neither is honest, and neither is how we've decided LONGDEN will operate. Our pricing exists to reflect the actual scope, complexity and value of your project — which we can't know accurately until we understand your business. That's not evasiveness. It's the only way we know to price fairly.
If anything, it works in your favour. Without a fixed menu to upsell from, there's no incentive to recommend more than your business actually needs. We'd rather quote honestly for less and keep the relationship than pad a number for one bigger invoice.
Every level of engagement, however small, should be honestly worth what it costs.
A fixed price list
- Averages every project to one number
- Simple jobs quietly subsidise complex ones
- No room to say "you don't need this"
How LONGDEN prices
- Scoped to what your business actually needs
- You only pay for real work, not an average
- We tell you when something isn't worth it
How do you price projects — and what affects it?
Two kinds of work, priced on what they actually involve
Some of what we do is project-based — a new build, a redesign, a brand identity — and is scoped and quoted individually through a bespoke proposal, because no two are alike. Other work is ongoing — search visibility, advertising management, support and improvement — and is structured so what you pay for stays matched to the depth of the relationship as it develops. In both cases, the same factors shape the investment involved:
Scope
What you actually need built, redesigned or managed — not a generic package of assumptions.
Complexity
How intricate the work is: the number of pages, the functionality required, how much needs to be custom rather than standard.
Existing systems & integrations
What you're already using — bookings, payments, stock, CRM — and how much needs to connect cleanly to it.
Ongoing support
Whether the relationship is a single project, or an ongoing partnership that needs continued attention after launch.
What does the Discovery Call include?
A conversation about your business, not a sales pitch about ours
The Discovery Call exists to understand your business before we recommend anything at all. "Understand first, recommend second" isn't a slogan — it's the actual order we work in.
-
Your business, in your words
What you do, who your customers are, what's working, and what's frustrating you right now.
-
Your customers
Who they are, how they find you, what makes them trust a business like yours — because the work should be built around them, not around us.
-
What you already have
Your current website, branding and systems — what's strong, what's missing, what's worth keeping.
-
Where you want to grow
Leads, visibility, retention — a website is only ever one part of that picture, and we want the whole picture.
-
Practical expectations
Objectives, timescales and budget expectations, agreed openly, so nothing is assumed on either side.
What happens after the Discovery Call?
You leave with clarity, not a countdown to a sales follow-up
Nothing about what happens next relies on memory or a vague promise to "be in touch." Following the call, we put together:
Your project folder — everything in writing
What do you actually get for your money?
What you'll always get
Fair pricing only means something if it holds up after you've signed. Here's what that looks like in practice:
- The price we agree stays the price — no fees added once a project is underway.
- Straight recommendations — if something's suggested, it's because you actually need it.
- Only the work your project actually needs, never padded to justify a bigger invoice.
- Advice shaped by what's right for your business — including telling you when something isn't the right investment, even if that costs me the sale.
The only way to know what your project involves is to talk about your project.
No obligation, no pressure — just an honest conversation about where you are and where you want to be.
Every business is different. That's why every project starts with understanding yours.
