About
I started LONGDEN because too many good businesses get sold websites instead of growth.
Founder-led, from the first conversation to the finished website.
This page exists because I think you should know who you're actually talking to before you book a call.
Kian Longden
Founder
My name's Kian, and I run LONGDEN. When you contact LONGDEN, you deal with me — from the first conversation right through to the finished project. No account handovers, no sales team, no layers of management between you and the person actually doing the work.
I started this because I think good, honest businesses — the kind that do excellent work and have loyal customers — deserve better than they often get from their websites and marketing. Usually that's not because the work itself was bad. It's because nobody explained things properly, or the relationship faded once the invoice was paid. That's what I care about fixing — not just better websites, better treatment.
So the way I work is fairly simple: I tell you the truth, even when it's not what you want to hear, and I'd rather turn down a project that's wrong for your business than take the money anyway. Every decision is mine to make, so things move quickly and nothing gets lost between departments that don't exist. I also don't think technology should be intimidating — my job is to make it less confusing, not more, so you always know what's happening and why.
If that sounds like how you'd want someone to treat your business, I'd love to hear from you.
Why I started LONGDEN
I realised the problem usually wasn't the website itself.
A business spends thousands on a new website, feels relieved it's finally "done," and then nothing changes. No more enquiries. No more visibility. The website looks fine — it just isn't doing anything for the business. A website on its own was never going to be enough, and nobody had explained that clearly.
That's really the whole reason LONGDEN exists. Big companies have entire teams and serious budgets behind their websites, their marketing, their systems. Small and independent businesses are usually doing work that's every bit as good, without any of that behind them. LONGDEN exists to close that gap — the same quality of website, systems and advice a large company would pay enterprise money for, built for businesses that don't have an enterprise budget. Not websites, or search visibility, or any one thing on the Services page — those are just tools. The actual job is helping a business get found, get chosen, and get the growth it's earned.
Money isn't the mission. Building businesses I'm proud to have worked on is. If I do that well, LONGDEN grows because the people I've worked with are doing better — that's the only kind of growth I'm actually interested in.
If you want to see exactly what working together looks like, day to day, that's laid out honestly on How We Work — I'd rather show you than just tell you.
"I'd rather build this slowly and get it right than grow fast and let people down."
What I won't budge on
- I measure success by what happens to your business after launch, not by how many projects I've shipped.
- I'd rather build a long-term partnership than take a one-off project.
- I'll tell you what you need to hear, even when it costs me the sale.
- I treat every client's business like it's my own.
- I'd rather work with 10 businesses exceptionally well than 100 businesses adequately.
- I'd rather explain something twice than let you feel confused and stay quiet about it.
